There are tons of articles about”The 8 best…” and they are really thinly veiled advertisments with little actionable information. eBikerz.NYC is a primary information source of e-bikes, rides, destinations, analysis, routes, times and my personal reviews of eBikes and eBike parts. if you want to ride a bike, or ebike you can rent one. OR you can join the Citibike Rideshare
Citibike isn’t renting a bike, you’re buying a trip. your ride can be asymmetric, you don’t have to return the bike from where you got it, any citibike dock will do.

THE PROBLEM WITH MASS TRANSIT
Overhead:
Getting around NYC, by air, train, subway, cab/uber, private car, boat or bicycle share (Citibike) all have the same problem. OVERHEAD. you need time to get to the transit source from your starting point and time to get to your destination from your ending point. Back when I used the subways every day I had to budget AT LEAST 1/2 hour to get to and from the subway PLUS the subway ride (which wasn’t always fast because of unpredictable delays).
